Update from our Head of Sales Bulk Monomers, Olivier Vandermotte
Dear Valued Partners,
Another six months have passed and once again I have to say that it has certainly been an exciting time. I say exciting because I am very pleased that we have had the opportunity to deliver on our promises. To quote my last editorial: "We are ready to go the extra mile if markets become volatile again. We have provided the market with reliable supplies and structural value creation, especially when prices were skyrocketing and sourcing concepts based on long supply chains did not provide sufficient operational security. Therefore, the entire Röhm team is very happy to celebrate the successes we have achieved together, and the fruitful cooperation based on mutual value creation contributes to the sustainability of our business models in Europe.
Only through partnership and mutual understanding of each other's business requirements will we be able to maintain our respective positions as European manufacturing companies. After a marathon of business and contract discussions in recent months, we recognize the importance of stability and delivery accuracy. Sure, we are all tempted to look for bargains, but that is not what makes our industry tick. With the holiday season upon us, we have now completed our contractual bids and are going back to focus on operational business to plan our assets and ensure our delivery commitments around the world. We look forward to commissioning our new Bay City facility, which will undoubtedly provide us with even more structural resilience in our global supply chains and is the cornerstone of our journey to become the leading methacrylates producer.
