RÖHM ON SITE – SHANGHAI

In Asia, about 400 employees work in business, production and functions for Röhm. Our production site in Shanghai has an annual capacity of around 100.000 tons of methyl methacrylate (MMA). The entire complex includes plants for the production of methacrylic acid, butyl methacrylate and special methacrylates. The main downstream markets include coating, automotive, lighting & electronics, construction and medical appliances.

“I work at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park and am responsible for running the compliant operations of our production facilities. My daily work involves cross functions tasks. Externally, I communicate with government authorities on project registration, safety and environment assessment, construction permit and so on. Internally, I work with colleagues from Process Engineering and Development, Maintenance and Engineering.

I have been working at Röhm for two years and I felt a very warm welcome right from the start. Colleagues treat each other with mutual respect and trust.
